About Us:

Thorpe House is a luxury bed and breakfast. It has been sympathetically restored retaining all the original features. It offers a peaceful and elegant experience to its residents. Our full English breakfast include locally sourced produce of the highest quality.

Guests can relax at Thorpe House in the fine opulent surroundings with access to a comfortable period lounge and enjoy breakfast whilst overlooking the grounds. There are 8 en-suite bedrooms, including Bridal Suite, Double Rooms and Single Room. Each room has television and tea and coffee facilities. Comfortable seating area is in the refurbished period lounge and breakfast is served in the refurbished period dining room. There is ample off road parking.

Thorpe House is situated in the rural heart of West Yorkshire 5 mins from Sowerby Bridge, 15 mins from Hebden Bridge and Halifax. This 18-century property was originally a mill owners mansion and has since achieved a Grade II listing. It has recently been elegantly restored throughout, merging many original features with new modern luxuries.

The 8 bed-roomed (all en-suite) property stands in its own private grounds surrounded by dense woodland bordering the impressive private lake. Guests can relax in the fine opulent surroundings with access to a comfortable period lounge and enjoy quality local produce for breakfast whilst overlooking the grounds.

There is plenty to see and do from your Thorpe House luxury base. Tour the Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle and visit the Bronte Parsonage, Nostell Priory and Shibden Hall. Discover the rich industrial revolution heritage of the area at Gibson Mill and Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centres.

Visit Bradford's National Media Museum and World Heritage Site of Saltaire and Salts Mill with wonderful David Hockney exhibition. Visit Eureka and the Piece Hall in Halifax. Walk the delightful Colne Valley, canals and woodland valley of Hardcastle Crags. Play golf in the many golf courses with stunning views that are nearby, or bring your bicycle for some of the best road cycling in the country. The 2014 Tour de France Stage 2 Route sweeps by Thorpe House through Hebden Bridge and Holmfirth, climbing up to the heights of Holme Moss.
